My newest thought for the blog was to add a section of monthly food and beverage recommendations. Although Josh and I LOVE to travel and take in the world around us, one thing I can easily say we are experts at is Dining!
It's perfect because dining and traveling go hand in hand. Everyone knows that a good adventure begins or ends with a good meal. Everyone also knows that one of the thrills of taking a good trip is experiencing the good food. So, as Josh and I continue to travel around we are also going to embrace all of those great dining experiences, and then share a piece of that with you.
The First Wine of the monthI am going to share with you is one I am SO excited about! It is a recent find that I love primarily because it's affordable and easy to find but taste royal with anything that you eat.
Toasted Head (Barrel Aged) - 2013 - Cabernet Sauvignon (California)
Find this gem at any local Harris Teeter and you won't be disappointed. Now, I know this won't be considered a top notch wine to many of the "wine snobs" around the world. However, in my opinion there is nothing better than discovering a new, affordable wine that taste amazing with any great meal. The barrel aging truly defines it's finishings after you have embraced what I defined as a blackberry, vanilla swish. It is truly a great choice for that Friday night cookout or last minute girls night.
