Nestled into the Sierra Nevada mountains is a vast hidden treasure known as Lake Tahoe. Recognized as the second deepest lake in the nation, Lake Tahoe is recognized for many reasons including hosting world renown athletic events such as the Winter Olympics in 1960, welcoming famous names that claim this land as their stomping grounds like Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra and it's impressive landscape scenery that encompasses the entirety of the lake.
Regardless of what you may know Lake Tahoe for, one thing that can't be denied is it's picturesque views and beautiful, diverse landscape. Take a look at just a few images that will help you understand why we recommend that your next trip be at Lake Tahoe, especially this winter.

WhereSan Francisco, California! Known as the heart of the Bay Area is complete with the famous Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Seals, Alcatraz, Historical Architecture, Chinatown, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Cable Cars and so much more. This thriving city has become a well known, top destination spot for tourists around the world. Anytime we meet someone who has visited San Francisco they say they want to return, and anyone we meet who hasn't visited always says they want to go.
Located in the mid-northern region of California, just South West of Sacramento, San Francisco is one of the most populous cities in the United States and is home to a number of cultural happenings that draw tourists from all over the world annually. Where & Why
On our recent fall California road trip we had the opportunity to witness some of the most scenic vistas in the US along the Pacific Coast Highway in Monterey County. We had done plenty of homework planning (check out more of our planning process here) our route and we found that the Monterey section of the PCH was known to be one of the prettiest, so we didn't want to miss out!
The beauty and awe of experiencing Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is something that is truly something that should be on everyones bucket list of experiences. From the largest tree in the world to the breathtaking mountain vista views there is really no other place like it on earth.
We recently returned from an amazing road trip adventure through the beautiful state of California. God allowed us another wonderful opportunity to experience some of his handy-work and we are so grateful he did. We honestly didn't expect to enjoy California quite as much as we did, but we are already talking (dreaming) about our future return. We absolutely loved the beautiful weather, diverse landscapes and lively, friendly people! We really couldn't get enough of this place - it has easily climbed the charts as one of our top favorite adventures!
