What better avenue to the heartbeat of New York City than through the subway lines? Every time I look at this photo I cant help but think about some jean cover-alled worker in the 1920's placing the final tile into place only to step back and smile about his labors. If only that person knew how many people have laid eyes on his work since then. Now to give full disclosure, I have no idea when or by whom this mural was completed but it is fun to imagine a story behind it. So next time you find yourself on the NYC subway maybe take a look at the wall art and step back in time for a second or two.
