Never have I gone to a place and not had the urge to explore the local culture and food. Food is what makes up most of the reasons why I visit certain places. Now you must be thinking, how to plan a trip online that is just based around food? Well, you should start by going through this list of ten places in India that are perfect to satiate the foodie in you. Once you have come to a conclusion and decided on a place to pay a visit, more than half your work is done.
Known as the Maharaja of Street Food in India, Mumbai ranks first on my list. This might be that I am a little biased because of being from around here but one absolutely cannot deny that Mumbai is the perfect blend of Maharashtrian, Gujarati, Parsi and Iranian food and you can never leave Mumbai without trying the Vada Pav, Dabeli and Pav Bhaji. I can bet that you will not find anything that tastes similar elsewhere.
Coming in a close second place on my list is Delhi. The war between Delhi and Mumbai to be number one will never end but one thing that Delhi wins at is their Aloo Parathas. Absolutely delicious! The options in terms of Chaat is never ending. You have to try the Gol Gappe before you leave.
It's always been known as the party capital, but people forget that Goa is one of the best places to get seafood. The crabs, calamari and numerous species of fish are to die for. Another option is to enjoy some Vindaloo with a chilled beer, while lounging on the beach. A lazy foodie’s dream.
Known as the land of Nawabs and kebabs, Lucknow will never disappoint you. The gorgeous kebabs and Kulchas are sought after by people all over the country.
No online travel website will ever be able to convince you of the beauty in Darjeeling. Only you, yourself can do that, maybe while sipping on some Darjeeling tea along with some scrumptious British-style breakfast.
Craving momos? Get on the next flight to Gangtok, in Sikkim. With an influence of Tibetan cuisine, the Thupka (Noodle Soup) and the Phagshapa (Pork Fat) are two dishes that you cannot leave without trying.
