This months Dine of the Month is one of my absolute favorite Go-To's! My husband adores these delicious treats and would ask for them over just about any cookie. They are very simple to make too which is perfect for that last minute, quick sweets fix. The original recipe has been altered from: AverieCooks Blog ~Best Snickerdoodle Cookies~ 1/2 Cup unsalted butter - softened 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar 1 Egg 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour 1/2 Cup Wheat Flour 1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda 1/4 Tsp. Cream of Tartar 1/4 Tsp. Salt 2 Tsp. Cinnamon 1/4 Cup of Granulated Sugar 2 Tsp. Cinnamon - Topping ~ Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
~ Combine the Butter & Sugars until creamed together (about 3 minutes) ~ Add in the Egg and Vanilla - Combine until light and fluffy ~ Add in the Flours, Cream of Tartar, Baking Soda, and Salt - Mix slowly until well combined ~ In a seperate small bowl Combine Cinnamon and Granulated - Mix into dough until slightly combined ~ Roll the dough into 2-inch balls - Place onto the cookie sheet ~ Sprinkle the dough with extra Cinnamon before placing Cookies into the oven ~ Cook for 9 minutes - The Cookies will still be doughy - Let them cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before serving
