This week's capture comes to you from the street of streets in Memphis Tennessee. It is an icon of the blues and of southern nightlife and is well worthy of a spot on any American road trip bucket list. For more about the town and its sites check out the following two posts.

I (Mo) grew up a few miles up the road from the Outer Banks (Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head). Therefore, returning for a long weekend with the family was just like returning to a second home. Growing up my family had an oceanfront cottage in Kill Devil Hills. Many of my memories as a child were located on the sands of the Outer Banks. Building sandcastles, collecting seashells, boogyboarding, Quagmires, the list goes on and on. This aspect of familiarity made returning for this visit even more special!
This week's capture is brought to you from the heart of downtown Detroit, a great American city full of stunning architecture and character.
There are few things that offer a better view and more relaxation than a good oceanside beach scene. This one comes to you from along the Outer Banks of North Carolina on a very cold windy day. Not really the ideal conditions for swimming or sunbathing but it's the kind of day that is perfect for enjoying the raw power and beauty of the Atlantic.
I'm a sucker for a good fall foliage photo and this weeks colorful leaves are brought to you by a small grove of aspens outside of the former mining town of Silverton Colorado.
We snapped this scene during some mid-morning exploration close to the Brandt Point Lighthouse in the fine Town of Nantucket, MA.
We have gotten into the Road Trip scene recently. It's a perfect way to not worry about how much your packing, or stress about catching transportation, or having to navigate overcrowded airports and train stations. WE have been fortunate too! Due to Josh having multiple job trainings we have had the opportunity to road trip through some awesome American country that we wouldn't otherwise have planned to.
The Capture of this week is a heart felt one! Two years ago we stood at this spot paying our respects for all the lives lost on ground zero many years before. Today, fifteen years later, we still remember and respect all of the Brave who gave their time and lives. We remember those who died on this horrific day and we pray that lives God's presence would flow through this Monument that stands at this spot.
~In Remembrance~ 9/11/01 ~Mo What better avenue to the heartbeat of New York City than through the subway lines? Every time I look at this photo I cant help but think about some jean cover-alled worker in the 1920's placing the final tile into place only to step back and smile about his labors. If only that person knew how many people have laid eyes on his work since then.
This week one of my favorite towns, Charleston, SC was chosen by Travel and Leisure as the best city in the world! I couldn't agree more! I have been to many well known and visited towns as well as many not so well known towns and yet there are still none that come close to being as magical and heart stealing as this Low Country hub. From that first visit in high school to our annual friends vacation to just random weekend ventures, it just wins every time!
