The city of London is full of exceptional photo opportunities but sometimes so many options can be overwhelming. Here are five photos that, in our opinion, you simply cannot return home without. Now some of them may be typical but keep in mind that setup and timing play a huge role in getting that perfect photo and that is where WE come in.
5) Capture your Inner Beetle at Abbey Road Studios
It's not a trip to London without trying to recreate one of the most iconic album covers of all time. The 1969 album cover location still exists almost as it was all those years ago. To get the perfect shot you will need to have an extra person to hold the camera since the angles only work out if the photographer is standing in the middle of traffic which brings me to the next tip, COME EARLY. This location is on a busy street and is very popular during the day. We took this photo around 8:30 AM on a Saturday as things were starting to get busy. In fact, we met another fan trying to capture her shot and she said she had been trying to get the shot for two days because of the crowds. Set the alarm a bit earlier. It's worth it!
4) Tower Bridge (as seen from the Tower of London)
Why push your way through the crowds and pay the admission fee to go inside Tower Bridge when you can sit back on a park bench overlooking the Thames and take time to soak in this Icon? ... and take advantage of the unique angles for a photo op like this.
3) Westminster (as seen from the Westminster Bridge)
The Thames, Westminster, and Big Ben. What more can you ask for in a London photo? This is another photo op that you may want to set the alarm a bit earlier for, but trust us it is well worth the sacrifice when you find yourself standing in front of one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world with only the morning breeze to crowd in around you. Also, once you return home you'll never find yourself wishing that you had hit snooze "one more time."
2) Dream about your inner royal at Buckingham Palace
Once again, if you want a quiet, iconic photo without the massive amounts of people flowing in the background. Set that alarm and get out to Buckingham with the sunrise. Worth it!
1) London Phone Booth ... and Big Ben
This one is self explanatory. Everyone's London experience is only complete after stepping inside an iconic red London Phone Booth.
